WRI's Bay Area regional office manages all investments and inquires across the greater San Francisco Bay Area, south through Monterey County and within the Central Valley from Stockton to Fresno. As head of operations John Medford is responsible for originating new investments, management of the office's existing investment portfolio and overall branch office management. He has been with WRI since 1994 and previously spent nine years with Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company. Mr. Medford earned his MBA in real estate finance from the Anderson School and his MA in urban planning at the Graduate School of Architcture and Planning, both at UCLA. He holds an undergraduate degree in urban studies from Trinity College. He is an active participant in the Urban Plan II educational program through ULI's San Francisco District Council.
