Stephen M. Margolin, President, Chief Executive Officer
Steve Margolin has been with WRI since 1980. Before assuming the helm of the company in 2001, he served as WRI's executive vice president and chief financial officer. In addition to overall responsibility for the firm's direction and performance, Mr. Margolin is a member of the Investment Committee and the senior management team. A Los Angeles native, Mr. Margolin has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MBA from San Diego State University. Mr. Margolin serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross serving King and Kitsap Counties and Homestead Capital. Mr. Margolin also serves as a member of the Seattle Transportation Committee.

Philip E. Ferrari, Executive Vice President, Director of Transactional Capital
Phil Ferrari has been with WRI since 1992, preceded by more than two decades with Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company. At WRI, he is responsible for placement of all approved deals with transactional investors. Prior to joining WRI and Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, Mr. Ferrari was a partner with Camray Ventures. A California native, he was raised in Stockton, CA. He received a bachelor's degree in history/philosophy from the University of Santa Clara and an MBA from Stanford University

James D. Lawrence, Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer
Jim Lawrence, a veteran in the real estate industry, began his career in 1970. He has been with Weyerhaeuser for more than 20 years, moving to WRI in 1985. Mr. Lawrence manages the new business origination activities of WRI's regional offices and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining WRI, Mr. Lawrence worked for three and a half years with Pardee Construction, and was also vice president of residential development for Downey Savings & Loan. He was born and raised in southern California and has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Southern California.

David A. Brentlinger, Senior Vice President, Director of Real Estate
David is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for WRI's Structured Options Program, working with homebuilders, lenders and investors on the acquisition and development of residential land for sale to builders using structured options. He also oversees WRI's asset management function, dealing with the work out of problem assets. David has been working with WRI since 2001 and with Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company (WRECO) since 1989. Much of his WRECO experience has been in the planning, entitlement, development and sale of land in master-planned communities for residential, golf, commercial, industrial and retail purposes. His prior work included developing senior housing with Marriott Hotels and international debt markets with the First National Bank of Chicago. He is an undergraduate of Stanford University and earned Masters Degrees in international economics from Columbia University and in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.

David K. Littlefield, Senior Vice President, Director of Planning and Analysis
David Littlefield has been with WRI since 1988. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Littlefield is responsible for strategic and financial planning for WRI and its investors, analysis of WRI investments, and evaluation of new product types and markets, among other duties. He also serves on the Investment Committee. Prior to joining WRI, Mr. Littlefield was an accountant with American Adventure and a Controller for Inn Ventures. A native of Bellevue, Washington, he earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Western Washington University.
